It's actually cheaper for me because I don't have to pay tuition fees in Finland. I became an Au pair and moved to Finland right after my graduation without knowing ANY Finnish. Most people can speak English and you learn lots of new words etc. every day. It's not that scary and it's a good opportunity to learn a new language. :)

It's quite expensive here (in Australia) because flights to anywhere in the US or Europe are atleast $1,000AUD (€805ish) then acommodation or whatever. Plus I remember seeing there were some sort of other fees, don't remember what exactly, never seriously looked at it properly. I could imagine, it'd be the best way to learn a new language.
